Andrew Simpson, Director of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality)

Cumbria Waste Group are delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Simpson as our new Director of SHEQ.

Andrew has a wealth of experience gained over a 20 year career as a safety professional.

He also holds a degree in SHE Management. This experience has been gained across the Innovia business but more recently as the HSE and Compliance Manager based at the Wigton site.

Andrew has sat on industry bodies being an active member of the British Plastics Federation sustainability committee and has also chaired the Cumbria Manufacturing Safety Committee.

Andrew will lead our safety team reporting to me and join our Management Board. He will help us continue to develop and evolve our safety culture to a world class standard with a focus on our goal of zero harm.

Andrew will of course work very closely with the operations teams within the business led by Duncan Millar our Group Operations Director and also align with our Learning and Development agenda led by Barry Carruthers.
